In a battle straight out of a Hollywood movie script, longtime rivals Justin Wong and Daigo "The Beast" Umehara faced off in the finals at this years EVO Tournament. The player’s previous encounters have been some of the most classic matches in the competitive Street Fighter world. Daigo took the first game, where Justin played as Abel, but Justin started to dominate when he switched over to Balrog (Boxer). Since Justin was coming from the losers bracket, after being put there by Daigo earlier in the the tournament, he win two sets of first to 3. He won the first set, and took the second set all the way to the final game, but Daigo’s used Ryu to dissect Justin’s style, and closed out the tournament. The match represents the battle between North America, with Justin Wong, and their attempt to dethrone Japan from their longstanding domination of the fighting game scene.
Congradulations Daigo!

Joystiq writes:
Heads up, COG soldiers. Epic’s Gears of War 2 has just received its highly-anticipated fourth Title Update. The new update not only adds experience to Horde mode, but also fixes a variety of bugs, according to the update notes on the Gears forums. Aside from fixing some issues with the new cringe-inducing smoke grenades, the new update also tweaks the Wingman match type, doing away with some of the issues involving weapon spawning and a particularly nasty exploit where players could get credit for two kills while only killing one opponent.
Hopefully, this will fix some of the persistent issues plaguing Gears of War 2’s online component. So, grease up your Lancer and head out into battle. This weekend is chock full of XP, after all!

Let’s be honest, this film didn’t get the best reviews in the world, and maybe it can’t match the bombastically powerful camp value that the first Street Fighter film had, but Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li still piques our curiosity. What’s it really like? Some guy from Black Eyed Peas plays Vega? Just how hot is Kristin Kreuk in the lead role? …

Gameplay is everything and if the face button configuration don’t make it into the game then the developers choice of limiting that gameplay style will surely hurt sales.

Whether or not you agree with its high position as IMDB’s third greatest film of all time, The Godfather II is a license that no developer outside of Rockstar North could even come close to fulfilling. Other than Grand Theft Auto IV there hasn’t been a sandbox game that has even promised to match The Godfather II’s tone, quality and vision. …
